Our story.
2006
Producing our first textbook for the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), which remains a valued partner today.
2006 to 2009
We expanded our work with professional bodies, building textbooks and academic content for partners across the sector. That work continues today through long-standing relationships with ICB and Accounting Technicians South Africa (AT(SA)), a professional body wholly owned by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
2009
We anticipated the growing role of digital learning, expanding into multimedia content development to better engage students and support evolving teaching practices.
2012
We extended our footprint into higher education, building on our experience in professional-body publishing and outcomes-aligned academic content.
2016
We launched the precursor to CourseBook™ — the EDGE Learning Ecosystem — bringing outcomes-aligned, multimedia content into a single digital environment for the first time.
From 2017
EDGE began working closely with higher education clients to build CourseBook™ titles aligned to their programmes as their offerings grew. Strengthening our understanding of how aligned academic content, structured learning resources and scalable delivery support could work together across programme environments.
2021
We built our own digital publishing ecosystem, transforming how learning content is created and published across print, digital reading, and Ebook formats.
2025
EDGE formalises Programme Accelerator, offering it more broadly to the market.
